Broughton: Served under Cicero in Cilicia (a). Cicero left him in command of the province when he returned to Rome (b).

MT: looks like his quaestorship with Cicero didn't start off swimmingly as he didn't join Cicero immediately. Cicero was looking for him by end of June, at which point he either already was or was on his way to Cilicia (a) but didn't know where Caldus was.
