Praetor
MT: No further comments in MRR2. In MRR2 Broughton initially lists Marcus as praetor in 50 BCE, but then seems to correct himself in MRR3. This supposedly goes back to some corrupted letters (dittography) in Cicero's letters. In the Quintus letters (ad Q. fr. I 4, 3) he lists the tribunes siding with him for the call back from exile (Curius, Milo, Fadius, Fabricius). In the senate speech following his return from exile (p. red. 21) he refers to Marcus Curtius son of the propraetor (Sextus Peducaeus) in Sicily in 75 for which Cicero served as quaestor. Lastly, in 50 BCE Cicero is in Cilicia (southern Anatolia) serving as proconsul. During this time he sends a letter of recommendation to a C. Curtius Peducaeanus (on behalf of Marcus Fadius). Munzer thinks this letter of recommendation is where the praenomen has been corrupted. Based on this I've kept both magistracies (quaestor in 61 and praetor in 50) under the same person Marcus.
