Praetor
Broughton: A Praetor Designate in 44, probably by appointment from Caesar (a). He acted as a link between his brother in Transalpine Gaul (see Promagistrates) and the government in Rome, and used his influence, while serving in command of his brother's cavalry, to keep him loyal (b). At the end of the year he was proscribed and put to death (c).
