    Broughton: Despite Piso's initial compliments to Cicero (a), he and his colleague actively supported the Tribune Clodius (b). Under one of the laws of Clodius Piso received the province of Macedonia (c), while under another law Gabinius was assigned first Cilicia and then Syria (d). Piso also took action against the Egyptian cults in Rome (e), and removed an old sacellum (f) of Diana on the Caelian hill.
