    Broughton: Their election delayed by the scandals of 54 (see 54, Consuls) and the subsequent disorders, they finally entered office in July (a). Their attempts in turn to hold the elections for 52 were frustrated by the rowdyism of the consular candidates Milo and Plautius Hypsaeus and the praetorian candidate Clodius (b).
